What is included in the Diploma of Yoga Teaching Course?
During your course of study, you will be provided study material to facilitate your learning, including the necessary textbooks and training manuals. In addition, you will be attending regular classes, talks, video learning and retreats that incorporate relevant lectures and practices which make your learning wholesome and fulfilling.
Shantiji’s natural gifts, an insightful teaching approach, wherein she can understand the individual and assess the individual capabilities is coupled with a compassionate approach that ensures no one is left out or lagging behind.
Class attendance (on-campus students only) for your period of study in group classes as per the timetable and schedule in:-
- Relaxation, nidra
- Meditation, and
- Breathwork, pranayama
- Classical India dance, Bharat Natyam
- Bollywood dance
- Voice training, chanting
+ PRACTICUM, ASSESSMENT AND TUTORIALS:
These are held on campus, or via skype for correspondence students:-
- Instructing Shanti Yoga
- Public speaking
- Dance – group performances (on-campus students only)
- Written exam
+ RESIDENTIAL WEEKEND RETREATS:
Your course includes three residential weekend retreats comprising shared accommodation, delicious vegetarian meals and program and yoga duties.
We often ‘get it’ intellectually, yet rarely live and experience our understandings in our everyday life. Body, mind and the universe are inseparable. Being absent from any of these shuts us off from a full realisation of our creative potential.
Residential retreats address this disconnect and immerse you in a lifestyle curriculum where you can expand your experience and knowledge through discussion, satsung, study and practice, participate in daily seva, hiking, yoga, organic meals, healthy eating, meditation and pranayama.
Note: Massages, wellness treatments, single room upgrade and special diets are available as optional extras.
